The Whitchurch Christmas Light Switch On is a festive event that takes place late November. The event features a variety of entertainment, including a Victorian organ, Santa’s Grotto, Christmas markets, live music performances, children’s entertainment, and a lantern parade. Visitors can also visit the indoor Christmas markets at the Civic Centre, the historical St Alkmund’s Nativity Festival, and shop at Whitchurch’s unique independent shops and eateries. The day ends with the lighting switch-on and pyrotechnic display at the Civic Centre, following the lantern parade.
