The Sandstone Trail has some of the finest walks across the Cheshire plain, with stunning and varied views it’s not to be missed. Get up early when the sky is clear and take an invigorating walk. There are good transport links that make it accessible by public transport, and it is one of the best ways to commute from the interlinked towns on the trail. While walking the whole trail would be quite a feat, it has been split in to 3 sections each of about 11 miles which is easily done in 5 – 6 hours – just in time for a good pub lunch.
