St Alkmunds – Whitchurch

St Alkmunds church stands in the centre of Whitchurch and is a Grade 1 listed building built in red and grey Sandstone ashlar. It’s churchyard is a chest tomb dated 1815 and there is a war grave of a Royal Field Artillery soldier of World War 1. Services are held in the church on Sundays and some weekends for those wishing to worship. For others, St Alkmunds is a beautiful monument to visit as part of sightseeing in the wonderful town of Whitchurch.
